Hi,
Im attempting to import an MSP file in to P6.
I have exported as an xml (after checking for blank lines and summary tasks etc) but the file doesnt open in P6.
I have converted the mpp to mpx and then tried to import - however, I get the following error:

Got a stange one. I'm running standalone as follows:
About: Primavera P6 Professional 24
Release: 24.12.0.51267
Platform: x64
Database Schema Version: PPMDB,2412.0000.0000.0006
PPMDBSQLite.db
Every time I schedule the shared mode warning comes up. No one else uses the database (its standalone). I don't appear to have the 'access' option which lets me choose shared or exclusive use.
I logged out and even tried re-booting.
Anyone know how I can stop this message - its not fatal but very irritating.

I am starting to add budgeted labor units to my schedule. The activities have a duration type of "Fixed Duration and Units/Time.
I set up my resource id's and assigned them to the activities. When I go to add the budgeted labor units of say 100 , the budgetd labor units column says 80. When I look at the detail I see the electrician has 100 budgeted labor units.
User Preferences are:
Resource Anaysis Tab
Opened Projects Only
Remaining Early dates
Custom Role Limit

Any P6 user who has to send or receive XER files, should have the latest release of XER Tools. A superb and FREE utility. It is pinned to my taskbar. Find it on GITHUB.

We've recently upgraded our P6 install to v23.12, and have one lingering snag that myself and our IT dept can't solve. I'm hoping someone else here may have had similar and managed to resolve!
While in office, performance is spot on - we can schedule projects fine, and importing of XERs is pretty quick.

i'm scheduling a plan and p6 says there is loop but i haven't started putting links in yet so there can't be a loop yet,
Any ideas on solving the issue? i've been through all activities the screen says are in the looop but none of them have relationships in place.
My goal is to compare the Planned % and Actual % side by side in the Primavera P6 schedule and ensure that users can see both the Planned % and Actual %. I'm able to display the Actual % using the Duration % Complete without any issues. However, I want to use Schedule % Complete to show the Actual %.

I am currently leveling resources in a oil refinery turnaround project.
I have about 40 heat exchangers that need to be disassembled, cleaned, inspected and reassembled.
The customer wants to reassemble every heat exchanger as soon as the inspection is completed.
However, P6 sometimes pushes the reassembly later than other exchangers activities having a lower priority level.
Did anybody experienced similar situation or any suggestion to resolve this issue?

What is the difference between Actual Units vs Actual Regular Units. This is the first time I stumble upon Actual Regular Units and I'm unsure what it means. The hint feature isn't very helpful and neither does Google.
Hi, I am using V23.12.
I have a fairly small schedule which is fully resource loaded. All dates etc. are correct folowing update.
However, on one activiy in particular, the resource loading has been spread way beond the activity completion date.
Activity completion date is 23 Sept and the resource loading goes on into November. Curve is linear and late dates are only 2 days beyond finish dates.
Anybody any ideas how to correct this?
