Hiding Activity Codes while filtering

Hello Everybody:

As we know the hierarchy while grouping the data in ms projects depends upon the ID of the code and not like primavera where the data is sorted on the basis of the order as secified in activity code.

Now to attain this i creadted code like under:

Code - Description

1CG -Clearing & Grubbing

2EMB - Embankmt

Now when i sort and group the data the heading is showing as

1CG which is the code ID ....can anybody tell me how can i show Code description in Display

Doron El 👤 Member for 15 years 6 months

hello all
i need your help.
i need to give weight to each activity in the project.
for exmaple here are some activity's i'm dealing with:
1-purchase.=10%
2-Infrastructure installation=30%
3-instrument installation=40%
4-delivery=20%

for each activity i need to  take the percent of the activity that finished  and calculate a diffrent weight in  percentages

how can i do it without exporting the info to excel?

Middleware between MS Project and SAP

R
Raul Santos 👤 Member for 16 years 7 months

Has any of you worked using software tools that connect the data between MS Project and SAP, especially for material control on the procurement portion of the schedule?. My understanding is that you run this tool and the data in MS Project is updated automatically from SAP. Can you give me names of these software tools, talk to me a little bit about them and tell me where I can find more information. Thank you.

BCWP is lower than expected.......my SPI is below 1

S
Sam Tan 👤 Member for 15 years 6 months

Hello,

i'm trying to do EVM for a project for the month of November.  i filled in the actual hours for all my tasks for the month.....(for all the people), and put zero actuals when that task was not worked on but was scheduled to be worked on.

now, when i'm looking at my "Task sheet", i see the following.  (i'm concerned about the second major tasks in bold).  I know we're not behind schedule but how can i increase my BCWP to artificially increase my SPI?

Showing or Exporting lists of external predecessors and successors

I
Ian Thorpe 👤 Member for 15 years 6 months

I have received a number of MS Project programs with links to external predecessors and successors.  I am trying to identify all such logic links and the file name and locations of the external projects.  In some instances an activity has several external predecessors and/or successors.

In many cases the path names of the external activities are so long that the full list of predecessors or successors for a particular activity is more than the 254 character limit that MS Project can display in the predecessor and successor columns.  For example, it might show onl
