Hi everyone, some time back i posted a theme about how unify diferents files in one file in microsoft project using external links.
Well the external link between activities in different files is the use of the path where the file to link existe, adding the name of the file and the number of the task to link and the kind of links between the activities...an example of this is the like i show following:
C:\URBAPETROL\PDT Repro Project\PDT Repro Total\Compras.mpp\1
or
C:\URBAPETROL\PDT Repro Project\PDT Repro Total\Electrico.mpp\223FC+20 días
Hi planners!
I have problem, maybe you know the solution.
If you have an activity, say 2 days long.The 2days activity must be in sequence,it can’t be interrupted. So if the activity starts up on a Friday the whole activity most be moved to Monday.
Is this possible in Microsoft project 2007 and 2010? Custom fields?

When the activity Calandar=None how MSP calculate the dates?!! or Its using the standard Calendar.
In MSP 2003 how do I show a column for 'baseline % complete' in order to compare with '% complete' entered for the progress update ?

Dear All,
I have imported a project from P6 to MSP 2007. The import was successful. But I have noticed that the Summary tasks shows the durations in Days while the subtasks / activities are in Hours. Also the predessor linkages are the(activity numbers + period in hours).
How to change the time period from hours to days?

I love these office 2010 softwares, but MSP has the top!
I managed to find how to insert a Page Break in the Gannt view
(go to File Options and select it in "Commands not present in the Ribbon", add it in the personnalized Quick Acces Toolbar.)
But to no avail, since the PageBreak is not active.
In previous versions you had to tick a button in the File Printing Dialog Box saying something like "Activate Page Breaks",
but I am unable to find it in MSP 2010...
Help anyone?
I read many blog entries that are very derogatory about MS Project, but struggle to understand why there seems to be such negativity about this product. It may not be as feature dense as products such Primavera P6 but it is a powerful, effective, planning tool that can be used for monitoring and controlling both large and small projects. I regularly come across criticisms such as:
- It isn't a CPM tool
- You can't track progress or costs
- You can't calculate and report earned value
- The float calculations are inaccurate
