Greetings,
I was using P6 on my previous Project. I have a a 4 day shutdown plan to develope and I need to plan the start and finish in hours for the same.
I just cant find aany option with MSP 2007, like Primavera P6 where i can enter the planned start or the actual start in hours along with the date.
I will be working on a 12 hours per day calendar during the 4 day shutdown and i need to plan the activities in hours. and then update the actuals in hours too.
Please advise.

Hi All,
MSP 2010 will not let me set the entire project as a baseline. Ive tried it by selecting the entire project check box as well as highlighting all tasks then checking 'selected tasks'. It will let me assign a baseline if I select only a few tasks but thats it. My plan has 2500 tasks. I tired selecting 500 tasks but it wouldn't do this either.
Any ideas greatly appreciated as you can imagine this is causing me some frustration.

I have got one question i have scheduled one project in picrosoft project.
start date is : 18.07.2011
End date is 30.08.2011
Relation :FS
i have entered status date as 28.07.2011 and i dint updated any tasks, then i enetred F9 to caleculate mannually , i am not able to see any negative slack of 10 days (or delay of 10 days since i dint started any work)
if any one has answer please let me know. thanks in advance please note i have tried with must finish contraint too but the resilt is zero
I need to copy/move a complext set of tasks & sub task (many levels) under newly added task without losing the relative structured numbering. Can't find it in the manuals.
I have Proj 2007. I have been given a 1,000+ row plan, and need to move various chunks of the long plan into (under) new phase/task/subtasks. When I expand all levels I had hoped to select all and paste them in to a blank set of rows, but I can't get the relative numbeing to be maintained. My alternative is to print out the whole 1000 lines
I would like to implement custom fields which display a work value, for example "20 d". The fields can be either calculated (e.g. the work of a specific resource group), or entered (e.g. an initial estimate of work, which should not be entered in the standard "Work" field yet).
How can I create a field which displays the values including the units (e.g. "d" or "hrs").

I am very new to MSP. I have created master project linking sub projects but when i go for the cash flow resports it gives cash flow for all organisation not for indivisual departements of organisation

Everyone,
I currently have a 14 day (7 day calendar-no BH holidays) running through Christmas. It is the last path on the network, barring a finish milestone for 'planned completion'. which is its successor. This milestone has a 5 day claendar. As the previpous 14 day task is showing a finish of 30/12/11 the milesone finishes at the same (not honouring its calendar). If it was to honour its calendar, it should read 09/01/12. Can anyone tell me how to make the succeeding task calendar be the driver in MSP 2007 Pro.
