Planning activities in "Hours" with MSP

Greetings,

I was using P6 on my previous Project. I have a a 4 day shutdown plan to develope and I need to plan the start and finish in hours for the same.

I just cant find aany option with MSP 2007, like Primavera P6 where i can enter the planned start or the actual start in hours along with the date.

I will be working on a 12 hours per day calendar during the 4 day shutdown and i need to plan the activities in hours. and then update the actuals in hours too.

Please advise.

Thanking You,

Abdullah.

Gary,

Thank you for your response. I did try the solution you presented but i have to go to the address bar toenter the changes to the "Actual" start and finnish times.

Is there an another setting available where we can get the drop down calendar the same way as in Primavera P6, along with a entry box to enter the time.

Or is this the only way that I will be able to Plan and Track/Update the activities in hours.

Looking forward to you reply.

Abdullah.

I have 2003 not 2007, but I doubt it's much different:

Go to tools > Options > view. Select a date fromat that includes hours

While you are in options, also check you are happy with the relevant settings in the edit, calendar and schedule tabs.

Cheers,

Try entering hours - for example enter 5h in duration column for 5 hours. MSP reads h for hours.
