EARLY START AND LATE START S-CURVE

Hi,

Appreciate if somebody could show me how to fill up the early start and late start date columns as data cannot be entered and on ly show display dates that are similar to START and FINISH dates. I need these info to construct my early start and late start s-curve. I also noted that the milestone task early and late start dates will be the same as start and finish date. How to develop these early and late start dates for a project?

Tracking Progress & CPI, SPI

I am using MS PROject to track my project progress and to find the cost and variances for my project.

under view->tables->tracking I am able to track my project. one of my project requirement said, "a task actually started 2 days late" my question is do I change the "actual start" date for the task to 2 days late? I am very new to ms project so I wasn't sure how to do this.

-my next question is to do with SPI. my project SPI is 0.8, but i was asked if having a SPI at 0.8 then to SPI at 0.55 good or bad?

How to compare a task's start variance to overall baseline project duration

J
Joe Palumbo 👤 Member for 13 years 10 months

Seems like this should be easy, so maybe I am missing something?

I need to compare an individual task's start variance (I know how to get this as I need it) to the project's OVERALL BASELINE duration.  I do not want to compare to the project's (current) Duration, and I do not want to compare to the individual task's duration - I need the overall project's basline Dur.

In other words, I have a Project Baseline Duration of ~77d and Duration of ~85 and I want to see how Task N's Start Var of 3d compares to the Project Baseline Duration.  In this example, I a
