Hi,
What is the correct method for linking a delay activity to the baseline programme?
Two colleagues have provided the following differing information.
1. The delay activity is linked to the predecessing / successing activity of the original planned activity.
2. The delay activity is linked to the same planned activity in the baseline programme.
Some clarity would be much appreciated.

Window analysis technique;
As a common practice in Window analysis, delay events are inserted in the impacted schedule and then determined the impact of delay events on project completion for that particular window period. Then progress is being updated , till the end of window period to notice delays , and report the shift in project completion at the end of window span considered.
My questions;
Can the Contractor change relationships , lag , duration ,in the updated programme based on the Site conditions. If it is yes...Let me give another example.
We use claim digger report for delay analysis. However, recently when noticed, the lag values shown in Claim digger is not showing correct value. For example in the programme for comparision if it shows a lag value of FS 3, claim digger shows a value of 50, which i am not to correlate.
Kindly advice...
regards,
Haresh

Hi, all I'm sorry my spelling mistakes. I am not god at english I am going to filter my special activity's all successor chained by to each other but I didn't find anyway For example I should remove my fancoil activity and all successor's(path) aktivities actual start from p6 How can I do using global change to filter all of this activities at once and check off their actual start to link all of them delay activity's successor.
Does anyone have any advice on what I should in a situation where I am undertaking a windows analysis and the resulting delay is longer than the duraiton of the window itself? It seems a bit counterintuitive that for example I am showing a 60 day delay in a 30 day window.
What is considered "best practice" in these situations?

Sceneraio1 : Approved baseline MEP Programme prepared based on floorwide single access.
Scenerio2: Due to tremendous delay in civil works - 209 calendar days as of 9 February 2016 (total duration for MEP installation completion = 217 calendar days). No complete access was given to any floor as per approved baseline.
Projected As Built
A New Delay Analysis Method
This is a condensation of my 25 years experience as a Delay Analyst into one simple system.
It Requires:
No critical path - no detailed weekly as built data - no detailed logic - can be used by any junior planner - tested in adjudication.
Use for both – Work in Progress – Forensic Analysis.
All set out on 3 A4 pages.
Extract from a recent Adjudicators Award on my use of the Projected As Built Delay Analysis Method.
