Preparation and Evaluation of Acceleration Schedule

D
Dimple Dean 👤 Member for 10 years 7 months

Hi All, Contractor agreed to submit acceleration schedule. What I understand about the acceleration is if the project delay is 8 months, and if Contractor agreed to accelerate in 4 months, they need to compress the schedule from 8 months to 4 months. If the Contractor agreed to submit acceleration, would it be from the current updated schedule and compress the schedule? How to evaluate acceleration programme and costs that are associated with it? Many Thanks!

Claim / EOT Management Requirement

Hello Everyone,

Just a topic to know what will help Claim Management in a Project from which we (Contractor or Subcontractor) can calculate the delay charge.

In most of the Contract Client would have already mentioned the amount which will be charged per day for delay which would be a % of the Contract Value.

I have listed down few if those are not relavant please let us know.

Baseline Schedule

Manpower Schedule

Equipment Schedule

Letters regarding the cause of delay.

Impacted as Planned on Recovery Schedule or BL Programme using P6

D
Dimple Dean 👤 Member for 10 years 7 months

Dear All, I want to perform a delay analysis using Impacted as Planned method, but my problem is which programme should I'm going to use?Contractor agreed and submitted a recovery programme and we have approved it.Since we are facing a number of 10 concurrent delays, I want to use the simplest form of delay analysis which is impacted as planned method. But how can i do that if we have 2 Programmes? We are using P6 on our project. Many thanks!

Unforeseen Obstruction at Site

K
Kannan CP 👤 Member for 17 years 11 months

Hi All,

1. In a sewergae line laying project, in a particular path there was enough float, say 60 days in the baseline programme.

2. The Contractor started the works 30 days later than the plan date. At the time of investigation he found an underground utility at site, which was not shown in the tender documents.

3. He had to take the authorities permit for the exposing of that utility and the relocation of it, prior to start his scope of work. This relocation took around 45 days and extended the project completion by 15 days.

Liquidity Damage (LD)

Hi Everyone,

I would like to learn about LD. In one of the contract we have it is written as,

Liquidity Damage will start after 15th Sep if the project is not complete . " The production would be only started upon completion of the project" which gives the Client the Cash Inflow.

The project was not completed by 15 Sep but the end product of " Oil and Gas " as per the client requirement was obtained and the production was not stopped. So should the contractor pay the LD for being late even tough the clent started production.

EOT calculation

K
Kannan CP 👤 Member for 17 years 11 months

Hi All,

In the delay analysis, due to an Employer, delay the Contractor is claiming for for an EOT of 100 days. This is through a certain path in the programme.

At the same data date of above the Contractor is in delay through another path#2 by 40 days.

The above paths are not interlinked. Is the Contractor entitled for entire 100 days with prolongation cost of 60 days? or only entitled for 60 days of EOT and the prolongation cost for 60 days?

Thanks

Best Regards

Kannan
