Discussion on aspects of Asta Powerproject
Hi- any know how to set weekly s curves for progress reporting?
Thanks
Good morning,
Might be a noobie question but I am fairly new to Asta.
I am wondering how to set a line to start on a certain date and not follow the logic.
To put it in context, we can have the gas connection completed after we have removed scaffold but the gas company are booked in for 2 weeks after the scaffold. So the logic on my programme says it will happen right after the scaffold is gone, but I want it to say it is happening 2 weeks after. So when I reschedule it brings it back to after the scaffold.
I created a custom calendar for one project and want to use the same calendar for another project. How do I copy it from one project to another?

Good morning,
I am looking to compare the as built with the as planned - Is it possible to export this in some format into excel to compare variances in duarations? Or is there an easy way to compare i.e. Planned 5 days, As built 10 days?
Thanks in advance,
Dominic
Greetings Planners,
I have recently changed over from Primavera to Asta Powerproject and I am strugling to move my auto-Text Annotations to be centered and above each bar on my bar chart....left and right is no problem but centered and above is proving difficult....
Any assistance is welcomed....
Thanks in advance,
Darren
Hi All,
I need some assistance in regards to displaying a two weekly programme.
Firstly, I have all non-working time showing but with a grey fill, how can this be made to go behind the subheadings?
Secondy, is there a way to specify a time period to be printed? I've managed to only have the tasks within a timesheet showing with a filter however when I go to print it seems to be fixed on printed 3-4 months as opposed to 3-4 weeks.
Thanks for your help.
Hi,
I have created a programme and created baseline(1) then shown impact of delays by rescheduling and created a further baseline (2)
I have then added further delays and rescheduled again to give the ovoerall delay.
I can find the overall delay by comparing live data to baseline (1) and displaying finish variance column howeverr I am looking to split the repsonibility of the delays.
Is there a way you can show the finish variance between baseline (1) and (2) in one column and the overall finish variance in another.
Hi,
I have to switch to ASTA from P6 due to my recent move and learning about ASTA everyday. I struggle to do the same thing in ASTA which I can do easily with P6 but I take it as a challange and happy to go for learning this new software.
My questions it is there any function called "Retain Logic" like P6 to maintain the logic alive for out of sequence items? So my task A-B-C are linked finish to start. if my item B is finished out of sequence and still A hasn't finished, why my item C is showing on the status date rather than start after item A?
I am fairly new to Asta Project Planner, I am troubled that the contractor has submitted a schedule indicating activities with remining durations indicate finish dates prior to the data date.
For example, one activity indicated a remaing duration of 10days; however, the activity was shown completing on September 27, 2017 or prior the progress date or data date of OCT 1, 2017.
I was born and raised with Primavera but recenlty started using Asta as well to broden my knowledgebase. The addaptaion has not been smoth and i struggle with the idea that Asta is somehow superior to P6. But maybe it's just my way of thinking that is at fault?
Here is an example i struggled with all day today.
