Discussion on aspects of Asta Powerproject
Been seeing this message more and more lately, now I can only save a file once after opening before this appears on the second time of saving. When close down and re open the software I do not have the recovery option.
Have also tried Save As but this only works once or twice.
Any ideas….

I’m experimenting with schedules solely based on Code Libraries where tasks are defined by Code Libraries such as Activity Type, Objects and (Construction) Phases, instead of describing a task in the ‘description’ column. I’m investigating the benefits of sorting the same schedule in different sortings and filters based on those Code Libraries.
See the example below. The natural ordered schedule features acitivities with multiple Code Libraries aligned.

Why is it I have no Available Templates in my Asta Powerproject? And also I can't create new project. Please Help me.

This problem is basic so I can't help but think I'm missing something really obvious.
When I open a new Powerproject docuement, after I enter a start date for each task, the duration sets itself at a default of 1 week and then populates the finish date accordingly. If I attempt to manually enter a different Finish date Powerproject adjusts the Start date to ensure the duration remains constant at one week. How can I adjust the settings to allow me to populate the Start and Finish dates myself, with the duration then calulated based on my input?

I've been asked to put amounts of money against various activities so the QSs can do earned Value Analysis. At first I just used a user defined column and dropped them in like that, but the commercial manager wants me to put them in properly so that they can work out money each month. Like say there is £10,000 against a 5 week activity, and it is from the last 2 weeks in May and the first three weeks in September, then its £4,000 for May and £6,000 for September. There is no one around to help me and its quite urgent.

I am allocating material quantities to certain activities on the bar chart in order to produce a histogram. I am putting the total material quantity total in the correct column, however in the histogram it is picking up the total quantity in each day.
I am trying to show a histogram at the bottom of the bar chart, to show the amount of concrete that we will be pouring on site each day. However the bar chart calendar is a mixture of 5 day, 6 day and 7 day working. The histogram does not show the pours or works that are to be carried out on saturdays and sundays and I cant seem to make this work? I have changed the calendar in histogram report properties to 7 day calendar and it doesnt seem to change anything.
Can anyone help?

I am trying to add week numbers to the top of the programme in the date zone. I can do this this after week 52 it goes back to week 1, but I would like the week numbers to carry on as the project I am working on is over 2 years and would like the week numbers to continue.
Does anyone have any ideas how to do this, as I know it can be done, but just cant find the right option?
