Asta Powerproject running through Parallels on MAC

Hi

I am trying to run my verison of Asta; 13.02, on a MAC (Pro with Retina display). Paraallels is running well with all other apps or softwares. However whilst Asta is loading and allows me to use all functionality, including BIM, the reolsution is a big issue. The ribbons and main chart are especially small whilst the project view seems ok.

Multiple Milestones - Need Filters

R
R Wells 👤 Member for 12 years 2 months

After some searching I have not been able to locate a solution yet. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

In my schedule I have 4 milestones:

Section 1, Section 2, Section 3 and Section 4.

Each section consists of different buildings. I would to create a filter that shows the activities driving each milestone.

I can easily create a critical path and longest path filter to see the overall project. But I really need to see what activities are driving each section.

Thanks for your help!

Filtering Formula Columns

Hi Guys,

I have created a formula column called ductwork, which simply outputs a 1 if the task name contains the word ductwork and 0 if not. My formula works great, however I would now like to create a filter to hide all 0's in a column, I have tried the filter tab, but it appears it wont let me filter the column. Can anyone offer some advice regarding how I can over come this?

Asta Power Project tutorials

T
Tolga Taluy 👤 Member for 10 years 11 months

Good morning everyone,

Due to the heavy work load I am struggling to attend the Asta courses. Only free time I have is the off work hours.

As I am trying to improve my Asta power project user skills I used the watch the tutorial videos  on youtube which were really beneficial for me. For some reason I cant find them anymore.

Is there any source that you know that may have tutorial videos or books or online training available ?

I am happy to pay for it

Thank you for your answers and time in advance.

Regards,

Can you create codes in the Library Explorer to remain permanent?

Y
Yasine Ali 👤 Member for 10 years 9 months

Hello everyone,

At the moment when I create a programme I create codes so that I can apply it to the bars.

However when I open a new project it seems that those codes dont come up in my "project view"

They re appear when I open up the project that I created them in the first place.

Is there a way that I can create them so that they appear on every project that I open up?

Hope I have said my question clearly

Thanks in advance guys

Is there a shortcut way of entering progress on ASTA?

Y
Yasine Ali 👤 Member for 10 years 9 months

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if there was a shortcut way of entering progress into ASTA activities.

I know that you can select the little box on the bottom corner and also use the mouse to drag percentage on the actual bar.

However I was wondering if there was a way where you could just click the bar and then enter a number on the keyboard for a % of how much has been completed.

Formula Issues

D
Dipo Ismail 👤 Member for 11 years 6 months

Good afternoon,

I have just started using ASTA.

1. The  problem is I have put a formula in a column and whenever I open the programme it is comes up as incorrect, I have to then proceed to change a " back to ' to make the formula correct. I have to do this each time i open the programme.

2. Also how can i run a report using the column with the formula (after I have corrected it) as one of the fields. When I have tried to run the report it does not run, am i doing something wrong.

Can't get rid of Line of Balance when trying to print

Y
Yasine Ali 👤 Member for 10 years 9 months

Hello everyone, newbie in planning here.

I am trying to print off a project.

However when I try to print the Line of Balance view is still visible even though I pressed the "hide" button in format.

Does anyone have any suggestions of how I can get rid of this when printing?

Thanks in advance!
