Free Float

Dear all,

I want to indicate Free Float in MSP, both in a column and in the Gnatt bar, is it possible.

I want to display the end date as per Free Slack. How to get the date as per free slack. Further, how to move a task to a free slack finish date without using constraints?

Ex: activity A1 takes 10 days to complete; in sequence, activity A2 takes 100 days to complete. If I plan taking up these two activities in different sections of a Highway, say S1A1, S1A2, S2A1, S2A2.

S1A1 completes after 10days and the resources can move to S2A1 on the 11th day. But S2A2 starts after 100days (completion duration for S1A2), so i want to start S2A1 10 days before S2A2. I dont want to use direct date constraint, Any method like ALAP (ALAP is using Total Float) in MSP for that.

Please help!

Regards

Satish

Yup.

The column you want to insert is called "Free Slack" in MSP

You can create a bar with start as "start", and finish as "free slack"
