P6 Assign Resource Dialogue Replace Button Greyed Out

Hello,

I've used the Replace Resource function in the Assign Resource dialogue several times but today the Replace button is greyed out and I cannot 'swap' resources.

Below grab shows assigned resource and new resource, Replace button is greyed out.

Any ideas?

All,

Ah ha!

I've figured it out!

Select the oringal resource in the Assign dialogue, select Replace and *then* select the replacement resource!

Apologies for the fire-drill!

Thanks for your support.

If I select the original resource in the Assign Dislogue the Replace button becomes active; unfortunately, I'd like to replace the resource with another resource.

This is in a SQLLite stand-alone database, are user rights the issue?

it appears that you do not have the necessary security rights to do this task

John, several things to check (I cannot see the image you posted)

  • Might sound obvious, but worth checking, you aren't clicking on a different resource? you need ot have the original resource selected for the replace button to be visible
  • Security profiles - is there a database administrator you can contact? It's possibly becuase you are working in a database or a project within that DB where you do not have the "Edit Resource" privilege. Has it at all changed recently?
