how to create a project for piping in p6

Hai to all,

           please help me anybody, how to create a piping project having scope (200000 IM and 19000 ID) IN PRIMAVERA P6.

very hard to do without knowing the scope

install pipe rack structure level 1

install pipe rack structure level 2

install pipe rack structure level 3

Lay large bore piping rack level 3

Lay Small bore piping in rack level 3

Weld or Connect large bore pipe in rack level 3

Test large bore pipe in rack level 3

Insulate large bore pipe in rack level 3

Weld or Connect small bore pipe in rack level 3

Test small bore pipe in rack level 3

Insulate small bore pipe in rack level 3

Lay large bore piping rack level 2

Lay Small bore piping in rack level 2

Weld or Connect large bore pipe in rack level 2

Test large bore pipe in rack level 2

Insulate large bore pipe in rack level 2

Weld or Connect small bore pipe in rack level 2

Test small bore pipe in rack level 2

hai zoltan,

            Thanks for your sugission. presently iam working on ag piping but i am not using p6,we are using only excel.

i want to use p6 for planning but i am confusing to define wbs and activities. in my project we have scope

of 354000 IM,34000 ID,600 ISO drawings,24 no.of service pipelines with different sizes and 1 rack(having 126 no.of civil grids with 3 tairs of elevation).please help me to define wbs and activities.

define scope

create wbs structure

create activites

assign logic

assign duration

assign activiites to wbs

create a resource

assign resoure to activities

assign units (manhours) and costs $(dollars) to each resource for each activity 

f9 calculate schedule

done
