I am currently working in one project with P6. What is the best method to archive weekly updated schedules?
When I used SureTrak it was as simple as saving the file with a different name and accessing the file from my desktop folder.
Any suggestions would be great?
Thanks
Chris
Would saving the weekly versions as baselines serve your purpose? This way, you would not clutter your EPS. And also, this allows you to compare any VERSION with any of your REAL baselines and/or the current plan. Just thinking out loud...
James:
1) As I have previously asked you, please do not reply to an existing topic in order to ask a new question. please start a new topic.
2) Please don't ask the same question more than once.
If you follow these rules, you will find more people willing to help you.
Why would some lines duplicate?
I have several lines in the schedule that have dupicated, why did this happen?is there a quick fix rather than deleting manually???
I have several activities that have duplicvated, why is this?
Or if you want to store an archive copy in a seperate are for security in case your database goes FUBAR, open the project, go to file, export and select your desktop.
You won't be able to open it without first re-importing the file, but it is a proper archive.
Go to the project listing, highlight the version you want to save, copy, paste (gives another/new version to go on with)
I hope this is not too simplistic?
Best Regards
