Dear Rafael,

Thanks a lot for the valuable suggestion, will definitaley impliment this now and in future also. I just shifted to P6 after a break of 3 years ( I used p3 before that). Lots of changes, after trying for different fields i again moved into planning and scheduling as it gives me utmost pleasure.

Will opt for PSP now.

Mangesh,

I always try to keep an up to date Template Job I use to store all my favorite Layouts, filters, formulas, reports etc then I can use it as a template on new jobs or as a reference to transfer my layouts, filters, formulas, reports ... easier than searching all over.

This was an easy filter but sometimes even the most basic filter can be complex, like a look-ahead filter for example, same goes for reports.

Best regards,

Rafael

To Quote Rafael:

Create a filter where successors = blank

Just apply a filter for Activities without Successors/Predecessors it would be too primitive to run the schedule to get a report, same as scrolling all activities, especially if a schedule of thousands of activities.

The following screen display how Spider provides for such filters you can apply to the whole project or a selection of WBS phases. Look for such equivalent filter in P6. If not pre-defined you shall define it yourself. After this it shall always be available at a single click of the mouse and error proof, no single activity missed.
