First need to summarize your bill of quantity for example , Circuit breakers etc to Distribution Board.Isolators ,Cables ,Cable Racks , Transformers , UPS, UPS DB Boards Etc. Now do the same for Instrumentation. On your Project file start with

Egg:

Utilities:

Cable Rack

Trunking

Power Equipment:

UPS

Generator

Field Equipment":

DB Boards

Isolators

Welding Plugs

Lightning and small power:

Plugs

Lights

Cables:

Small Power

LV Power

This is a very quick guide line

assuming the control room is to control new equipment, the design / procurement / construction sequence would be something like:

1) datasheets / specs for new equipment to be controlled

2) let orders for the same

3) vender details of the same back, including loading

4) spec for DCS / MCC / etc

5) let orders for the same

6) vender details of the same back, including sizing & ventilation requirements

7) HVAC design (if required)

8) Civils design

9) Civils construction to weatherproof

10) M&E installation

NB: This can be quite a length process as you have to design & order all your plant before you can start design on the control kit. If time is a factor, another option is to start HVAC and civils design & civils construction before the control kit is ordered, and over-engineer the solution to ensure it will be adequate (ie a bigger room than you think you'll need with more HVAC than you think you'll need). Obviously more expensive this way, but MCCs are often on the critical path of process projects so it can be worth it.

Kumar,

Little confused with your question. Are you going to develop a Schedule for new Control Room or what?

Please clarify.

SE Ali
