Tomas,

In addition to the great service this site does by providing productivity rates, also there are two estimating software which give descent databases for cost and rates information. Chief Estimator and Win Estimator. Both based on the CSI Masterformat in addition to other popular classificatins.

No, I am not a member. They do not give any rate or cost information as far as I know. Their primary function is to give a structure, standards and guides for their industry.

MasterFormat seems to be their elite product, and it is just a standard for organizing and structuring information. And it has been used for a long time.

Tomas,

Does the CSI give any rate, cost or productivity information? Or is it just the masterformat?

Ive tried to find anything else, but I couldnt. Are u a member? Is there any additional information available to members?

The Planning Planet Team:

My best recommendation to organize cost or rates, or for that matter just about any kind of information in the AEC Architecture/Engineering/Construction) industry, is to use MasterFormat by the Construction Specifications Institute. This is probably the most widely used standard in this industry.
