Hi All,

Sorry for the late reply. I was too busy for the past 1 week. I will send you the copy however, we are talking about on how to show the % in P6 instead in Excel sheet and not how to generate S-Curve into Excel.

If you need this steps then give me time.

Despite the steps in P6, I guess one needs to understand the algorithm of generating the S-Curve so that it can be tailored to certain requirements.

Hi Barry,

Yes, it will give you the Schedule % Complete depends on your Activity’s Baseline Duration has been completed and computed based on where the current data date falls.

You can export the percentage value to excel using "Activities" as your Export Type. However, you cannot modify this percent in Excel as well as in P6.

Hi Cecil,

I am sorry but I cannot find it. I am using P6.2.1 I tried to search in my colleague’s computer he is using P6.0 but unfortunately it is also not there.

You can create S-Curve in your P6 by percentage. Send me your email address and I will send you the steps.

Yes, Arnold I’ve done that manually in excel file. In P6, in Display Reports Templates; you can find R031- S Curve Generation (Actual Units)as I read it in my manual but unfortunately I can’t find it in my program, I am thinking it was deleted. If you can find it in yours, eventually you can help me by just clicking at the wizard option at the right side of the Reports window, then click next you can view selected subject areas and columns. I just wanted to know what is specific options involve in that field to create S-Curve by percentage wise..not in units nor in cost, because by simply clicking on this reports it will show you in Weekly or Monthly S-Curve with corresponding Spread Sheet in excel..or in P6 Preview or in HTML File.

thank you,

Hi Cecil,

You are welcome. Anyhow, where do you want to show your S-Curve, in Excel Spreadsheet or P6 Windows?

Because if you are working with Excel sheet you need to create a "Chart Wizard" utilizing the actual & planned values you had exported from P6.

If you are working with P6, then simply go to View --> Show on Bottom --> Resource Usage Profile or Activity Usage Profile as well as you can go to "Tracking" located at the left corner of your monitor.

Let us know if you have done this.

Thanks Arnold for your generosity..You are right it shows the right way what you have stated in below thread. I’ve done it but S-curve doesn’t shows. In what options do I have to select in column tab so that s-curve will be generated along with the spread sheet.

If this is what you want then the steps below will works. If not then, you must cite an example.

5. In Select Template, select ADD, rename the template for future use.

5.1. In Column tab, select the available option you wanted to export.

5.2. In Filter tab, add a new filter and select only resource you wanted to export.

5.3. In Sort tab, you can sort by activity, resource & etc...When done select OK then NEXT
