Hi Joe,

Check your email for detailed steps to display the Ordinal Early Start and Ordinal Early Finish dates. The file contains photos and I don’t know how to paste images in PP!

Regards

JK

NB: If anyone needs these steps, please send me your email.

Try creating a Custom Data Item for the start and finish work period

Then set a column to the custom field created and fill each one in with the information.

I wasn’t able to come up with a global change for you.

You may be able to export the information to move into the CDI

Let me know how it works for you.

Hi Joe,

One workaround to show the ordinal dates in a layout or report could be to use the date arithmetic feature in a Global Change:

- Create Numeric Custom data items for each ordinal date you want to show (e.g. ORES for Early Start and OREF for Early Finish)

- Create a Global Change (Tools --> Global Change...), and in the ’Then’ portion of the ’Change’ tab, define the ORES and OREF custom data items by calculating the number of workperiods from project start (or any other date):

ORES EQ SD - ES

OREF EQ SD - EF

Of course, you need to manually re-run the Global Change after each schedule update!

Ron, I didn’t know it was not available in P3e/c! Is it back with P6?

Best Regards,

Jean-Philippe

P3 only has a Workperiod Line that you can add to a standard report. Workperiods are also shown in the pop-up calendars on the activity tab.

You think that you have it bad - P3e/c (Primavera Version 5) doesn’t have a single place to access workperiods. Not in reports and not in the pop-up calendars! If you need to use workperiod numbers, then stay with P3. Good luck!
