What about all of the timephased data that you can export to EXCEL (and it draws the graph for you) with the "analyse timescaled data in EXCEL" button on the Analysis Toolbar?
hi! i also mean to ask the same thing as chin. Simply how t plot planned progress vs actual progress in terms of weighted %.
Is there also a way of adding a row in the gant chart to show the total cost of the project?

No, you will have to use MS Excel to generate S-Curve for MSP 2003 and before; or upgrade to MSP 2007 and use its Visual Reports

Been doing this all the time.
Just wonder is there any plug-in to let MSP to generate the curve just like Primavera Project Planner...
Read up on Earned Value in MSP Help.
See also the Analysis Toolbar, where you can export Cumulative Cost and Cumulative Work, as well as all of the Earned Value numbers to EXCEL, and it draws the graph for you.
Anything, says plan manhours VS earned manhours to-date, plan manhours VS actual spent to-date, plan cost to-date VS earned cost to-date etc.
