Thanks very much Peter, certainly does help us out.
key data to be derived from the schedule is
1 SPI performance on an accum and period basis of current v baseline programmes - this gives the history then look forward by
2 SPI Index to Completion - this is the improvement required to finish the job on time (assuming you are behind)from which you can see whether it is realistic
3 Print out the top (5 ?) critical paths on the project and make sure they are sensible and everyone knows which are the current activitites on these critical paths
4 then as a test to see if you programme is getting more critical try a Float Trend Analysis graph
5 a simple Principle line would be nice but most software doesnt support this
