• Specification, development, implementation of Access / Visual Basic based Earned Value Management system to allow analysis, across eight remote project offices, allowing tracking of program, commercial and scope issues at a total program level.

Senior Planner - John Laing International

Planner responsible for the re-programing of envelope, M & E and finishes, and design programme on First Residence Of Giza, Cairo, Egypt. 9 months secondment on site. Project consisted of two towers, one of 30 storeys the other 20 storeys on a three storey retail and liesure poidum on a three level parking basement.

·        Preparation of Level 1 schedules for prospective projects along with the jobs in hand to forecast the manpower             requirement.

·        Preparation, tracking and updating of the level 2 schedules to be used by the COO for his meetings with the Clients.

·        Preparation of Level 4 programs by discussing with the Project Managers, Design Managers and the Production Manager.

Scope:

Maintenance management control, warehouse management and control, support for the planning of shutdown services, and Project Management training.



Approach:

CMMS database management, creating maintenance procedures, preventive maintenance schedule and control, training/support for project management software and productivity tools, warehouse control (MRO materials and cost control), support for the adaptation of the Maintenance Dept routines to the TQC Program and for the SAP R/3 pre-operational phase (creating support material, procedures and training).

- ALSTOM TRANSPORT : Set-up of a resource management system for the ATS department (Automatic control Transportation System) of the Signalling buisness.

- ETPM (Now ACERGY) : For EKPE revamping project (125 MUSD budget, full revamping of MOBIL EKPE installations),set-up of the marine operation planning, and follow-up offshore (9 month in Nigeria). Project was used to confirm work hours estimation methods.

- ALSTOM TRANSPORT : Bid Planning manger for Porto Metro project bid (PORTUGAL) and JFK (New-york) automatic subway.

Having established the implementation programme, seen through tendering and award and brough all Contractors on board with project controls requirements I was given the task of delivering the Project to the programme.  With a Project Management team of 43 individuals and a Project Team team consisting of local Client, Contractors and Cost consultant and international Design and Supervision consultant topping out at over 9,000 individuals, I was responsible for the team co-ordinating and managing the successful delivery of 1427 luxury villas for Bahrian’s most prestigious Island Develop
