Principal Project Planner

As a Principal Project Planner working on the ~£2B. Great Western Route Modernisation Programme I am leading the PMO planning team, providing guidance and direction to other PPP’s and Project Planners and ensuring quality and consistency of all planning. I am responsible for corporate and local GWRM schedule reporting requirements and for managing and updating IMS planning database. I also validate the alignment of GWRM schedules with cost data.

Programme Involvement

National Electrification Programme (£2.6 Billion)

The programmed consist of 3 main projects North West Electrification within Liverpool and Manchester. Midland Mainland and the Great Western and Wales Electrification.

Job Purpose

Goal:

Deliver Planning Services to quantify technical development of airline customer change requests.   

Role:

Principal architect and developer, co-leading a team of 8.

Responsibility:

Consulted, coordinated and analysed requirements. Built processes and systems to track code development. Reported time, resources and budget. Trained all teams and Senior Management on the new process.

Principal Project Planner – Leading planning and project control functions for signaling and electrification portfolio of projects for Wessex, Sussex & Kent route.

Providing guidance and direction to other planners, and ensuring quality and consistency of all planning and project control associated reporting. Prepare progress reports for monthly business review.

Principal Project Planner - King’s Cross Station Redevelopment Programme

Sometime in charge of all planners, sometime project based
