A project worth £650m and you’ll play a key role delivering this high profile project. To say you’ll be at the heart of future transport strategy goes without saying. You’ll be working on the Edinburgh Glasgow Improvement Programme (EGIP), which will deliver more frequent and faster rail services between Edinburgh and Glasgow. EGIP includes the electrification of the main Edinburgh to Glasgow (E&G) route via Falkirk High and a number of linked routes. With the Initial Phase of the Programme being implemented in a number of stages between 2014 and 2019 at the estimated cost of £650m, this is a role where you can help make massive changes to many lives.

Joining our forward-thinking, driven project team, you’ll lead the planning function within a project team, ensuring quality and consistency in all planning and reporting activities. As you develop and progress high quality project plans, communication will be key to your success - from making sure all stakeholders are aware of their responsibilities, to providing expert advice and guidance.

We’ll expect you to be a team player with a flair for clear, engaging and persuasive communication at all levels. You’ll demonstrate proven experience as a P3/P6 planner with good IT skills and project resource management expertise. Specific, successful experience in managing, planning and delivering multi discipline projects is essential. Ideally, you’ll have UK rail industry experience.
