A) Planning and Project Monitoring:
Ø Preparation and updation of Detailed Project plan at functional level with Primavera and MS Project.
Ø Preparation of S-curve and planning package.
Ø Monitoring and reporting of project progress and status of milestones to Management and Client.
Ø Co - ordination and expediting of deliverables with project taskforce for timely delivery.
Involvement from the early stage of the projects with designers and agreed the required feasibility study. Setting up and agreed the initial target cost. Prepare the master construction programme and the resources histograms. Prepare the health and safety plan, the method statement, the risk assessment, and then managing and supervising the site works. Monitor Progress, cost, quality and health and safety onsite.
Project Description
Circa £250m 5 year programme of Anglain Water's most large and complex capital investment projects, including new & upgraded WTW, Upgraded WWTW, New potable mains, and shore repair of existing reservoirs. Projects were managed from concept design through to financial close and benefits realisation, managed under a modified NEC2 contract form.
Role & Responsibilities
Became a project control engineering apprentice shortly after I left school. I am now in my 4th and final year of my apprenticeship; I was a project control engineer for Siemens VAI after I spent the first year of my apprenticeship at NETA, after a year and a half at Siemens i was made redundant and I carried on progressing within NETA, after 3 months I started at Topside but after 5 weeks I decided I couldnt fulfill my aims as an proj. engineer while being there so i left.
