Working on Novartis Vaccines MARS Project in Marburg, Hessen, Germany leading a team of 4 planners taking the project from Engineering and Procurement, through Construction to Commissioning and Qualification.



Trying to inpart global best practices of project controls on an unwilling local German project team. The usual is "we do not do it that way in Germany".

From March 04 to June 04 Planning Consultant required to provide specialist planning services to Astra Zenica at their Avlon Works in Bristol, UK. Formalising the planning function of the project office handling between 50 and 60 small projects with a budget of between £11-15 million.

Ensuring that the planning function and cycle imparted to all and establishing a regular updating and information disceminantion routine.

Ms project 2000 was the main software utilised and a team of 3 planners reporting to 3 Project Managers.

October ‘98 to February ‘99 Transferred to the Merk, Sharp & Dohme Pharmaceutical Works in Harlow, Essex on the Facilities Expansion project. Responsible to JE’s site manager for co-ordinating the planning and progress monitoring of all sub-contractors. Responsible for developing an overall integrated schedule for all aspects of design, procurement, engineering, construction and up to commissioning and hand over to client. A computerised logic network utilising Primavera P3 developed with approximately 1400 activities going down to level three activity reporting.

Working at the Pfizer Pharmaceutical Works in Sandwich, Kent on the Module 2 project. Responsible to RE&C’s site manager for co-ordinating the planning and progress monitoring off the main sub-contractors.

Responsible for developing an overall integrated schedule for all aspects of design, procurement, engineering, construction and up to validation and commissioning. A computerised logic network utilising Primavera P3 was developed. Reporting against activities and updating logic weekly.
