P6 EPPM 15.2 connection wizard PRA

Trying to establish the connection from PRA 8.7.0076 to P6 EPPM 15.2 (localhost). No problem using the connection wizard, but unable to access the EPPM database, Getting the following error messages. The first is trivial - I think. P3eKiller Run-time error '9' Subscript out of range.  The second is a login error. I've checked the user exists and the pw should be good. The error is: Error code = 80041b5c Login Failure P3eIntegration;P3eJLink.1  Note: I'm using Apache 3.1.3 JRE 1.8.0_65, localhost and port 7001.

Technical query about Pertmaster and Low Memory

As the subject indicates, I have encountered an issue whereby Pertmaster "runs out of memory" and will crash.  There is no loss of data, but after several attempts to continue is has slowed to a crawl.

Does anyone, or has anyone encountered this issue, and developed a resolution?

Thanks in advance.

PRA Cost Roll Up

Hi,

In the Risk Outputs tab of PRA, the P50 cost does not seem to roll up properly. For example the sum of the P50 costs of activities do not always equal the P50 cost of their WBS element, and the sum of the P50 costs of WBS elements does not always equal the P50 cost of their parent WBS element.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Simon

Risk Management Strategies/Procedures

I'm a fan of Primavera Risk Analysis Risk Register. I think it could be an effective tool in managing risk. To that end, what have you see done, or do you do to effectively manage risk. What kind of followup do you do, or have seen to make sure the mitigation strategy is implemented? How often do you or have seen periodic risk reviews? Has anyone published procedures for systematic risk management? A lot of questions.

PhD Thesis & Scientific Paper on Risk Management in the Middles East

Gents,

The following links are for a PhD and a scientific paper in the construction risks in the Middle East. The Thesis shows the methodology of how to overcome the risks and delays on construction projects and how estimate the durations of activities and consequently forecasting the project's duration while considering the degrees of uncertainty.

It is my great honor to share the thesis and the paper with you. Also, please feel free to share them with whomever is concerned.
