At completeion cost not calculated automatically

Hi,

For cost monitoring we decided to record actual cost especially against material. On a demo project I loaded some material on various activities and to record actual cost I unchecked both “Auto compute Actual” and  “Calculate costs from units” because if I kept them check then though system allow me to enter actual cost but on using “Recalculate Assignment Costs” it recalculate by multiplying unit rate with actual units and in my case actual unit rates sometimes under or over at time of procurement.

new baseline and new cash flow

H
Hazem Rady 👤 Member for 19 years 4 months

hi all

i have a question that bothers me

i work in a consultant firm and i review contractor's time schedules

the contractor submit a baseline in the begining of work and i get from it the cash flow

i compare this cash flow with invoices of the contractor during project execution

after 6 months the contractor had the approval of time extension for his work from the owner (1 year extension..!!)

the contractor made a new baseline showing the new project end date starting from the date the extension of time is approved till the new end date

Formwork (both stagging and panels) types for slab & beam

Can we list type of stagging and paneling for formwork.

Knowing technicalicties and types of formwork will help planners to list down the activities for planning and will also help to understand the methodology.

We may list down the type, componenets and its definitions and activities for different type of formworks like conventional formwork, doka formwork etc.

Design basis for Manhour norms

Manhours is a single word very commonly used to measure time, cost and effectiveness of supervision. There are lot of books, literatures and theories available in the market but none of them lay down the design basis of calculation of the same. Why dont we put our experience in writing here and find it out to derieve it in a structure way.

I am writing down the same here to start the discussioin rolling:

Based on our experience, we have worked out piping erection MHrs.
