How do you insert weather delay allowance into a new schedule

A
Ahmet Tuter 👤 Member for 13 years 4 months

Hello,

When you are preparing a baseline in the beginning, what is your practice to insert the anticipated weather or miscellaneous delays into a schedule?

You put lags? if so where?

You put an overall delay item in the end and decreases it as delays occur?

Or what do you do and why / why not?

Hello Experts,

I will really appreciate if someone can help/guide me with scheduling strategy for the following query:

Question:

I have a project of 270 Villas having different types as follows:

Type 4 = 255

As per client's requirement WBS for construction of villas will be block wise as follows:

BLOCK 1 = 39 Villas

Activities starting at the end of the shift

A couple on months ago somebody at work corrupted the most used calendar in the database. This has been rectified but I am now finding activities starting an the end of a shift rather than the start of the shift on the next day.

I cant see why if the shift ends at 16.00 why the successor with an FS link is starting at 16.00 and not 08.00 the next day.
