How to deal with Hangers/Out of Sequences/Activity changes?

Hi ... 

How to deal with "Out of sequences / Hangers" while tracking the project? I know how to find, but i just want to know how to fix it without changing the baseline end date?

Please note, ours a simple duration tracking project, without any resource/cost loading on it. Since we are not changing the end date, we dont require to do any RA & Stake holders approval. its a simple bug fixing. i would like to know how to correct it.

Initial programme included within contact was not rescheduled before issuing

Ive come across an interesting issue on a project where we have a programme included within our contract (NEC3). This programme had not been rescheduled prior to being included within the contract and as such the dates are not in line with the logic and constraints contained within the programme. Once rescheduled the dates are changed significantly.

Programme format from BoQ

I'm having a somewhat heated debated with some of our QS.

They argue gantt charts - task names and arrangement - should be determined by BoQ and then up to me to plot task durations.

I argue that BoQ are not narrative and don't often given detail to specific areas of a build, often just elements, sometimes in a high degree of detail but often just quantities of materials for substructure, superstructure etc. - in short it is not as simple as addinng tasks, durations and dependencies between line items on a bill

SPI Figure When Planned Value is 0

Hi All,

I've having an issue where in reporting SPI, My planned value is zero just happens to be zero this month, and my earned value is 2.7%, so of course my SPI figure is calculated as 0.00, which in formula world, is the correct answer.

However, in reality, I know this particular phase has earned 2.7% more than planned, and I would like the SPI figure to reflect this.

Anyone know another way to get an SPI figure to reflect this??

Planned Value & Resource Curve

As per the following below Resource Curve and for an activity of  20 Days Original Duration the Planned Value will be exactly located on last day of the activity. 

But for any activity with Original Duration more than 20 Days, the Planned Value will not be located in the last day of the activity.

Manhours Calculation

I am relativly new to project planning and I am currently wotking on man-hours calculation for an Engineering-Procurment-Construction project. I can calculate the man hours for the construction activities but how do I calculate the manhours for Procurement and Engineering (Specifically designing activities and data collection/data sheets preparation activities)?

If any one could provide me with a list of standard man hours for Engineering, it would be a great help.

Primavera P6 - Physical completion % question - I am a beginner

  This is a simple schedule that I have made and I am required to update this schedule every month which is 22 Jan 19.

Please refer to my figure 1 for a simple of this schedule

Now i press the F9 function - scheduling after I have enter physical completion 80% for the buying of materials (A1020). Please refer to the picture below (figure 2).

Somehow this look strange on the gantt chart. Any advise for this?

Project duration not reflecting overall original duration

In the screen shot below, i have applied 7 days work week for project duration activity, start miletone and finish milestone , for all other its 6 days work week calender. On the overall summary level original duration is '959 days' , even though activity project duration is of duration 1095 days. i want to show original duration for project as 1095 days.[[wysiwyg_imageupload:6603:height=300,width=625]]
