Progress update procedure

Hi,

Does anyone have a copy of a procedure for updating project progress periodically within Primavera. ie. a step by step guide on the correct way to update engineering progress etc and the common reoports produced biweekly/ monthly by the planner for the project?

Any info would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

What is an overall progress plan?

L
ladi sodipo 👤 Member for 18 years 7 months

Fellas, What is an overall progress plan and how would one go about developing one for a project? A new project is being initiated and we have been tasked with developing a progress plan (not a progress report) and any help/pointer will be appreciated.

Getting Started

Hi everybody,

I've just joined the website today after a friend recommended it. I'm almost brand new to planning, Taken some courses in P6 and am working on trying to get familiar with it. For now, I don't have any questions on P6, I'll have many later on though I think. My question is on the whole approach to it. What is the sequence to building a program? The WBS, activities and sequencing is pretty straight forward. I'm getting bogged down on resources, man-hours etc. Is there a book out there somewhere telling you exactly what to do, step by step?

Thanks guys

What is the S-Curve, and how do calculate the work progress..

M
Mai Tawfeq 👤 Member for 16 years 3 months

For all planners are keep asking about S-Curve

the Artical has been written By: David Garland

Introduction

The first time most project managers become aware of the existence of S-curves is when they are requested by the client or senior management to include one in their next progress report.

Benchmark - Flood Control Program (Storm Water Drainage) in heavily populated city

Hello,

I am working on the development of a master plan for a program to control flash floods in a mayor city, and I am looking for reference(s) to similar project(s) in order to validate durations.

The project is located on a coastal city inhabited by about four (4) million people and the area of concern is about 8,000km2.

Any information regarding this kind of project is highly appreciated.

Regards,

Nelson
