A
AB Timo 👤 Member for 15 years

Hello All,

I have Prepared a schedule in P6 and after making initial schedule and Assigning cost to all activities (No Resource Loading Required for the project, only activity cost from BOQ),I saved the Schedule as Primry Baseline. Now When I update the Schedule the Bars before and after the Data date Line are broken.

This Problem is not occuring in Duration % Complete type. Can anyone tell me the reason?

PERFORMANCE PERCENT COMPLETE ENCOUNTER PROBLEM

To all co-Planners,

I have an unexpeted encounter probs:

Facts:

I am using P6.1 stand alone.

Resource loaded and cost loaded (manpower in 0 price/unit and cost in lump sum 1 price/unit).

Using the project as base line.

Duration type: Fixed duration and units

Complete % type: Duration

Problem:

When i update, activity with 100% complete will give the earned value as 100%.. But for activity with less 100% complete will give any no performance% complete which means that there is no earned value.

Planning Courses - Scheduling and Project Control, Resource Control

J
John Sims 👤 Member for 15 years 1 month

Do any of you know of any planning courses which cover all aspects of planning?

I am a planner for a large utility company, i have been planning now for almost a year and i want to make sure that the processess i have put in place are correct.

I have searched for training but only come across primavera training to which i have done most of the courses, these are more based at the software rather than planning in general.

I need to be able to know all planning aspects from kicking off a project, baselining, control, capture, reporting and close.
