Global Change Resources retaining "Budgeted Units/Time"

Good Morning, I am trying to do a Global Change to change some resource Name ID's to a new set of resources.  When I do my original Duration on the Resources tab is retained but the "Budgeted Units/Time" value changes back to the default of 1.  Is it possible to preserve the duration and budgeted units/time when I change reseources?

Thank you in advance

Process Plant Level 1 Schedules in Excel - templates

Following retirement, I have for interest, used by 40 years planning experience to produce a series of level 1 schedules in excel covering a typical $300/400M Process Plant, built within a refinery complex, based on Owner's Board investment sanction PM methodology stages (FEL/FED), from inception to Owner' production and Pay Back (Timeline Options, Proposal, Concept, BEDP, EPC, OpReadiness) based on JV contractor using a OoC/IC design and procure split and local IC build partner.

So with concurrent delay, you get time but not money - but what if you need acceleration to stay on schedule?

With concurrent delay, you get time but not money - but what if you need acceleration to stay on schedule?  Do you have to pay them - why it was concurrent?  Cannot slide such as you simply cannot let the schedule slide due to once a year environmental issues you have to fit into.

Project calendars that are too conservative for workable days.

Some states list a "Calendar" with typical working days for simple ROAD projects.  But simple road projects are more suseptible to rain than a rail project, but in this case they are using this "state calendar".  Its not like we will give credits or debits in how muchit is off.  I have done those types of projects and it is much better to use a 5 or 6 day calendar.  By blocking our random days, they are going to have to change their calendar to update accurately.  I see this as opening the door for the Owner to claim concurrent delays if there are delays in those pe

Delay compensation or not when baseline had float?

just would like a general opinion on this issue.  In short on DT3, the Contractor Submitted a Baseline that had 3 months float.  The work was dependent on the big contract moving a sewer first, which they are now moving that 3 months later.  One opinion is the contractor gets $0 because they provided 3 months float.  Another opinion, (the contractor’s mainly) is they should get compensation for labor rates going up over that period.  What is your opinion?  who is right?  (Personally I think the contractor should not have provided float, but - I have been o
