What are the methodologies a planner can put in a project to control cost ? Monitoring the budjet, comparison of actual vs estimate is a different story. Any other project control techniques ??

I have an approved baseline & now client is asking to add scope of work that was not initially include in the contract.
we have EOT of 30 days to accomodate these extra activities.
Can I change (delay) existing activities by 30 days also.
or
I have only right to show new scope in 30 days of EOT and keep existing schedule the same?
I also need some clause or reference to validate.

It is an easy task to make Unique Task Indicator's more useful that a set of random computer generated numbers.
For instance if you hav a task for plastering on the 6th floor of the west wing on block A the UTID would be:
AW06Plas
Now you can use this to filter on any task in the project plus multiple other useful applications.
Try it and make life easy for yourself.

Hello every one,
I have cost loaded baseline plan and also have an updated baseline plan.
I have noticed that if a task is 100% completed its
AT COMPLETION TOTAL COST value
becomes "0"
where as my client is asking me that value of
Budgeted Total Cost should be equal to At completion Total Cost.
Can any one please let me know where I am lacking and what will be the solution.

I saw an advertisement for a cool Summary Gantt Software Program - now I can't find it... Kidasa is nice, but that wasn't it...this one had a graphic of like a bunch of projects on one page, like planning, design, procure, construct - but it handled the bars a little different so you could put a bunch of project summaries on one page...CAN ANYONE TELL ME THE NAME - MY GOOGLE attempts have failed...I could have sworn I saw the advertisement on this site - OR SOME SIMILAR site, I can't recal

I am planning a meeting to build the WBS for a job I am working on. I have high level nodes and deliverables defined and the meeting is to decompose these down to the deepest level. I plan to do this on a wall with post-IT notes ... so here's my question;
does anyone know where I can buy preprinted Post-ITs with the relevant (or close to relevant) boxes on?
