P6 Activities with Steps Name / Status Export

S
sam dsoza 👤 Member for 20 years

Hi

I would like to export activities with steps including step names and status of steps in to excel spreadsheet. While Actiivty steps export provides infor about steps completed, in progress, etc. I am looking more on the lines of exporting activities with activity steps listed in separate rows in a spreadsheet. Can this be done in P6?

Secondly, I have relationships tha hover from one wbs to another - is there anyway to identify activities where relationshop move from one L2 WBS to another.

TIA

R
rox lra 👤 Member for 8 years 4 months

Hi I have an urgent problem as I am also new using this tool. I am working on a project and I hit myself of a problem.

I have 3 milestones : MIL10, MIL11 and MIL12. they are linked sequentially and they also have a "finish on" constraint. But the predecesor and successor of the MIL11, which are MIL 10 and 12 have also 125 and 44 days of lag. Is that possible? Please help

H
h m 👤 Member for 12 years 5 months

Hi,

i'm struggling to undertsnad what baseline Acumen Fuse uses when we export from Primavera. I assumed it will be PROJECT BASELINE but even leaving that field set as Current Project it seems to be picking up a date (that isnt the current finish date).

Can someone explain it in laymans terms for me please.

Help with External links

Afternoon all,

I have inherited a project which has links to multiple external projects within the same database.  Given that on the relationship tab of the activity details I can see the project ID the link comes from but i can't find a report that will tell me this in bulk and i've tried exporting to excel but then it claims there are no external links at all.

is there a report I can run or some way of showing me all my links and what projects they've come from rather than going through each activity one by one?

Cheers all,

Primavera P6 - Reader

Hi everyone,

I have one quick question to see your opinion with Primavera P6 reader.

I am working for a small size company and we don't have lot of P6 users/licences. Some of our project engineers are using MS Project for planning but with our new project award, we are wanting to P6. We are planning to purchase Primavera P6 reader for site staff which will allow them to review the P6 program in full depth and use whatever filter, group&sort, layouts they want to use.

ERP Systems compatible with Primavera Programme

All,

Apart from the Oracle EPPM complete solution, can anyone recommend any other ERP systems which are compatible with Primavera PPM schedules?

Im looking specifically for the ERP system to be able to cover Document management, timesheet management, financials and ideally a really good visual reporting add on (Web based)

I know of Microsoft Dynamics and Deltek, but not sure if they are compatible with P6?

Its not my area of speciality so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I work in a large corporate environment.  We have held off installing the latest p6 version because IT guys are generally not familiar with the software and i am not knowledge on the MS/SQL etc environment.  We currently have the Enterprise/Web version but mainly use the P6 Professional environment.  We only use the Web environment to set up the EPS - that is it.  I need to spec what we want, - any advise and is there any advantages to using the cloud version, logging in from home would be the only advantage I can think of.  My current computer is serving as the ser
