I want to know if there is a process to put a cap on the resources/month. For instance, I want to use only 1 million/month and stretch my activities accordingly. Is there any way, primavera can do this or indicate where I need to make changes?

Hi there! I wanted to know if there is a process to update the baseline or the current program by making changes in either of them. For example, if I have made changes in my baseline few months after the commencement of the project, is there a way from which I can copy this update into the current program or vice versa? Say I needed to add some activities to the project, change duration of few activities. Is there any way with which I can incorporate only these changes in the program?
Hi,
I have an activity 4hrs in duration that needs to be completed within one working period (08hrs - 17hrs). Currently I have it on a calendar with non-working time (17hrs - 08hrs). If the activity starts too late (say at 15hrs on day one) it is split over the non-working period and completed in the second day at 10hrs. How do I stop the activity starting on the first day and moving it so that it starts and finishes (08hrs to 12hrs) on the second day.

What is the easiest way to progress a large number of activities in one go ?
(for example progressing all erect scaffolding work to 100% in the pre-shutdown phase of a turnaround)
I am familiar how it works to progress one activity, but manually clicking through 50 scaffolding activities is preferrably not the way to go.
Hi everyone,
I have received a standard P6 v8.2 P6 XER file (encoded in ANSI).
There are some arabic writting wisible in the encoding is changed to Windows-1256.
Importing this to P6 v15.2 gives griberish. does not correct when font is changed to arabic.
There was a way to get these arabic scripts to be visible properly. Anyone remember how?

As a bigenner planner, I have made a plan for a client as two projects, the start and finish dates for one of them are the actuals. whereas the start and finish dates of the other one are the planned ones, then I maintained the latter as a baseline to the first one, the client did not accept it and asked to modify that, he has also mentioned that the project is full of constaints. Are there any other ways to follow?

I am very new to this concept. I can create schedule and can create resources and assign in P6 (individual activites) , but I heard that we can import Resources from Excel to Primavera and also Vice versa.
Kindly tell me how to upload the resources from excel to P6 v7 and also reverse ?
