I am having issues while importing units and durations on P6, using XLSX files.
When I import floating point values, it ignores the decimal point and import as an integer. For example, importing 12.05 and it writes 1,205 in the database.

I added a Level of Effort activity in a WBS, as per its nature it will cover the entire project duration.
Assuming that by assigning a resource this this Level of Effort activity, Project cost (User rate X Activity Duration) should be updated, but the cost of Level of Effort Activity is always Zero.
what I think the poject cost should be updated due to Level of Effort Activity, please comment

I just created EPPM18.8 environment on Oracle Cloud, all modules are working.
I am not sure how email statusing service will work. What I assume that for each user assignment, system should generate an email to user that task has been assigned to him/her. Here are my questions
1. Have anybody configured Email Statusing Service, does it work the same way I am thinking?
2. If Yes then how to configure this service, I have updated the config file and settings in admin, but this service is not working.

What is the best way to copy a set of activities from one project and pasting them into another in P6?
I have tried exporting as an XER file and importing to the file I want them pasted into. When I pick 'Add into existing Project' it doesn't allow me to select a project to import to. I am also unable to untick the Match box.
Any idea how to fix this?
Is there a setting so the Remaining duration updates automatically for activities which are in progress.
I.e. for a 10 day duration with an actual duration of 5 days then the remaining would be calculated to 5 days?
I currently have a 64 day activity, when I schedule it a a few weeks later than the start the remaining duration is still 64 days. It is set to Physical % Complete, at 95% complete.

I am importing an MS excel file into P6. I have no issues with this.
However, when the excel file is imported, the WBS Name chages to the Master file name.
I cannot sort and filter the WBS in P6 as the WBS is lost.
Any help and suggestions would be appreciated.

I've imported a new project and I have started to update the progress. I've had a few problems:
1. When I update the actual units on an activity the actuals are added on to the at completion instead of taken away from at completion units. In other projects the at completion remains the same and the remaining units is updated automatically. I have the project setting to 'Subtract Actual from At Completion' but it doesn't seem to make any difference.
In my project, There are three WBS.
The first and third WBS are about project start and finish procedures. And the second WBS is about all project works of different desciplines.
Is there any possible technique in P6 to identify the total float based on 2nd WBS start and end dates, not on the basis of entire project.
