If an activity has +10 days of total float, which means if we delay this activity by 10 days it becomes critical path. Just to simulate, if we make this activity's duration increased by 11 days. Then this activity would drive the project end date and would be on longest path. This scenario is understood. Based on this, the situation should also true with negative float. That is, if an activity has -30 days of negative float, should this does mean that this activity is pushing out the end date by 30 days ?
Hi,
I have different projects in Primavera, which make use of the same resources. I want to show the projects in an histogram, with each project a different colour. Does anybody know if this is possible?
In the 'stacked histogram' of resource usage profile, I tried to make use of the filters in the resource usage profile options, but there are no parameters of project, or any other global code. Is it possible to add parameters?
Any other solution within Primavera?

I am currently preparing a project schedule for a client. Project spec says: (1) Schedule must show critical path. (2) Critical path should be defined as the "Longest Path" (3) Last activity (Project Finish Milestone) must have a "Finish On" constraint as the deadline.
Hi all,
I am trying to create some PDF prints of a programme from P6 16.2 and when setting up a print for A3 and printing via pdf writer (i have tried Microsoft to PDF, CutePDF Writer and DORO) the writer is not filling the print area. When in the print preview screen the print area is filled but when I open the printed PDFs the print area is only about 2/3 full. This is the same across all the different PDF writers I have tried. I have not yet tried printing to paper as this is a new P6 set up and my printer is currently out of action.

HI,
I made a recovery programme, developed from the latest update of the approved baseline programme. Budget is loaded in the programme. In the activity spreadsheet of the recovery schedule, the budget seems to be distributed not as per the dates. Many activites have budget distribution even after the completion date.
In the activity spread sheet, I used the Budgeted Total Cost to see the budget distribution.
Is there any reason for it?

what is the best practice to assign Form work resource in p6, i assign as material and fill in the budget units / time, but hthe issue is using budget units/time when tracking by month read the Qty. of formwork Muliplied by the duration for every assign, so what is the best way to assign an track formwork in p6,thnxx all

I am trying to update my actual blockwork quantites in p6. My activity type is physical % complete. I have physical % complete values. I manually enter all these values to units %complete in the activity details resource field. I want to have actual quantity that is equal to multiplication of budgeted units and units % complete. For some activities, it works. However, some activities do not give correct results.
Is there any suggestion?
