Questions & answers for MS Project software
Hi All,
When adding a Task duration should we also include the no. of weekends also.
Regards,
Hello,
Need some help with a problem I have regarding work distribution in MS Project 2010.
Problem;
Task A
Duration: 5 days
Work: 30 hours
Start: 2013-03-04
Finish: 2013-03-08
Status date: 2013-03-05 (2days reporting)
This means that the resource should work 12 hours.
But, actual is 15 hours.
Here is the problem, MS Project places 3 hours on the next day after status date which is wrong
Hi,
I have Master schedule of Project and monthly tracking, updating project, In my project I have inserted columns: Baseline duration, Baseline start and finish, Actual duration and actual start and finsh, In actual duration column overall actual duration is showing 16.18 weeks and its sub tasks (levels) have more duration like 52 weeks, 40 weeks, 20 weeks etc, why showing less in overall? (overall is 16.18 weeks) why?
Please help me if any one know.
Thanks and Regards,
Kumar

Hi All,
I've got a small programme in MS Project 2010, and am using 'Group By' function to summarise various phases.
The summary value for 'duration' is not calculating correctly. Is showing the maximum duration within the group, rather than the latest finish minus earliest start. The start and finish dates for the summary bar are showing correctly though.
I have all my durations entered as weeks, and have tried changing the setting for "duration is entered in..." box in the options menu, with no success.
Any suggestions?
I give up. Everything I have tired will not allow us to increase the size of the row in MP 2010. Can someone out there make me look like a fool?
Thanks,
James B.
In MSProject 2010 how do I have inactivate tasks to not be part of the total slack calculation.
very simple, been using P6 for to long and cannot do a simple exercise to produce a overall total project resource profile when i have and number of different resources. This must be simple but i cannot see it in 2010??
thanks in advance
