Extension of Time (Bad weather condition )

Dear All

There was a work stoppage for 3 days due to bad weather and it took 3 days to back to the normal condition.

Client Intent to give an extension of time for 3 days without cost but the updated program showing no delays.

Is the contractor eligible for the Extension of time ???

Regards

Arun.V

Recovery Schedule and EOT Claim Analysis

K
Kannan CP 👤 Member for 17 years 11 months

Hi All,

As specified in Fidic Contracts, if the Contractor failed to meet the progress rate as agreed in the approved Baseline Schedule, he needs to submit a recovery schedule, elaborating how he intends to recover his delays and bring the Project back on track.

1. Is the Recovery Schedule to be approved, or just to accept it based on the Contractor's revised sequence/methodology/additional resources etc, for the progress monitoring purpose?

Time Impact of Delayed Payments

Dear All,

When the client doesn't pay the contractor for several months, the contractor perforemance is affected for sure, and to calculate this effect in terms of "what could have been done if the contractor was paid on time and what is the related time extension" is difficult if it's almost impossible, at least at certain schedule's size.

I'm proposing a menthod ( not 100% accurate ) and I want assessment from you, it's as follows:

I assume a new unit of measure and name it "MoneyDay", it's Money x Day = MoneyDay.

Float in programme

L
Lo Gary 👤 Member for 16 years 3 months

Dear, I have intentionally allow more time in the early stage of the programme in order to avoid early warning from the architect if there is any delay, and more tight schedule at the later stage. The progress is actually delayed at the early stage due to non possession of some area due to the default of the architect, however, after the completion up to 3/F, the progress had caught up according to the master programme. Then, the architect claim that no EOT will be granted as all the delay has been caught up. i.e.

Calculation of delay duration - forecast PC vs contractual PC date

Hi all

please assist me in the following matter:

A recent project has been the subject of numerous (approx 300No.) notifications of potential delay and 25No. actual EOT claim submissions by the Contractor. These have largely been rejected by the principal agent, but have been overturned and awarded, in certain instances, in the subsequent adjudication process. The client has nonetheless chosen the route of arbitration to attempt to get these adjudications reversed.
