As built programme

Hi,

I have a programme where I have been recording progress on a weekly basis but I have not been using it as a live programme i.e one that you reschedule on a weekly basis. I am now trying to crate an as built programme from it.

I know that If I do a reschedule at the last progress period only those activities not complete will shift and complete tasks dont shift from the baseline however I am wanting to show the progress throughout the project.

Does anyone know how to do tihs?

Changing Dates Cashflow/Income calculated from

J
J Muzz 👤 Member for 6 years 6 months

Hi all

I have generated a cashflow forecast in Powerproject which by the default periods are calendar months. I want to change this so that the calculation is based on specific dates - i.e valuation dates, which in this case are on the 18th of the month. So I would like the cashflow to show the periods between the 18th to 18th. Sometimes this date changes due to weekends to say the 16th.

Any ideas how to do that?

Thanks

BI Export - working days and elapsed duration

D
Dariusz C 👤 Member for 7 years 5 months

Hi

In my model I extract tasks data according to line below from model file:

<Column name="DurationDays" datatype="Duration" group="Date" formula="Duration / '1d'"/>

The problem is that some tasks have duration in working days and some of them in elapsed days, please look at attached screenshot for more details.

Working days are not a problem at all. Problem is with elapsed duration

What should I do to get durations in format I have in Powerproject into the same table?

Week numbers in the date zone

A
Alex Hough 👤 Member for 9 years 1 month

Hi all

I have a 30 week programme that has a 2 week shutdown over Christmas. The current week numbers in the date zone show it coming out as 32 weeks, is there any way to not show week numbers over the 2 week shutdown?

ie. up to week 5, then nothing for 2 weeks, then in January start from week 6?

Thanks in advance!

Alex

Printing - Page Breaks

How do I ensure that the page breaks I have inserted into my programme override the pages I have scaled to, when printing?

At present, the number of pages scaled to seems to be taking precendence and it's not taking into consideration when I have applied page breaks to split my programme.

Thanks

Tracking revision changes in BIM model

Hello everyone!

Does anybody knows whether that's possible to track changes in revisions of IFC files integrated to the schedule? For example, I'm getting new revision of 3D model and i want to find out whether any element were added or deleted. Is that possible to check such changes?

Thank you.

Critical Path - Help Needed

Good Morning,

I'm having issues establishing the Critical Path on my programme. I have a summary section at the top of my programme with Key Dates i.e. contract award, mobilisation, construction period, handover etc.

The Critical Path seems to bypass my entire programme and only link these activities as critical. The only 'Critical' items on the main programme is the start milestone and completion milestone.

Any help to get round this woul be appreciated.

Thanks

Float Path Analysis

Hi,

I am looking to view the first 5-10 critical paths to help manage a project where more and more activities are losing their float, but cant find a way of doing this easily in Asta.

Obviously the critical path is quite easy to see but the next logical path  behind it thatsay may have 1-2 days float in it is hard to find.

Asta Easyplan - End Date

Good morning,

I'm hoping someone can help me solve an issue which is probably glaringly obvious, but I just can't find out where. I'm far from experienced in Easyplan and nobody here in the office is either.

I am trying to create a programme that currently extends into 2021, however strangely Asta is curtailing the project at the end of 2020 and I cannot for the life of me find out why. Is this a licencing issue, is there something simply I am doing wrong!

Thank you for any help
