Task Formula for Bar

Hi All,

Does anyone know how to get a formula that displays information about a task for the bar (whole line)?

e.g.

I have mutliple tasks per line, and 1 task on the line has a start constraint flag on it. I want the formula to flag up if the task isn't starting on the day of the constriant.

The formula i have so far is below, but i can only get it to work when I display task per line;

Progress line on multiple tasks on same line

Hi,

My firm uses a finishes programme for student accomodation, it goes 1st side stud & board, 1st fix M&E, 2nd side board etc. All of these tasks are on one line i.e. room 1. My problem rises when we have for example 90% 1st side board complete but at the same time may have 50% M&E complete also. I am unable to show progress on the second bar (the M&E) as we have not yet finished the 1 side stud & board.

Is there a way to show multiple progress lines easily (without overrowding the programme) or tell ASTA to show only the furthest date progressed?

Column / Formula To Bar & Summary Level

Hi All,

Does anyone out there know of a way to display the level (i.e. in the chart structure) that a line (summay or bar etc.) is at?

I know you can use the Show To Level button, but was after something that could display in the column of that line automatically. I thought that perhaps it could be done through a forrmula, but after hours of trial & error (all error) I cannot see how.

Any info on this would be appreciated, even if its to say it can't be done.

Progress Comments Column

Good Morning,

I am after a bit of help in Asta PowerProject (if what I am trying to do is even achieveable).

I record progress against a new progress period every two weeks for each project I oversee, and there are inevitably comments against the progress position of each activity i.e. started late due to x reason, due to commence on x date, delays in design infomation etc.

Task Report - Procurement Schedule exported to excel

Hi Guys

I am using ASTA 12.5.

I have a task report for a procurement schedule which exports to excel. What I need to do is adapt the report to what my company wants to see. The template came with the software, but I cannot work out how the dates are linked to the activities.

Prep Tender Docs Finish Date, Tender out Start date, Tender in Finish date, etc.. mobilisation duration & Free float, start on site Date

This is going to be in excel with one package/line with the columns representing the activites.

Automatic Update of Costs

B
Ben Jewell 👤 Member for 21 years 1 month

A quick question for those more knowledgable than I.....

My problem is that I have a load of costs set up in my Asta programme with a daily rate assigned.  I have assigned these costs to the relevant activities throughout the programme and all is well...... But.....  If I change the daily rate of any of my costs in the library explorer, the change is not reflected in the programme (everything stays at the old daily rate).

Links Shape

Dear All/Mike,

In version 12, I have seen some curved links. Suppose if I give FS link, it should be vertical but in version 12 , sometimes it shows curved one not vertical. How can I activate Automatic Curve Settings of all links in Asta version 12?  I tried in Curtvature in Link properties but it does not  work for me when I give any new link. Links remain in vertical position not showing Curved but I need in curved shape. How to do that? please reply

Thanks,

Chris

Overlap Bars

Dear Mike/ All Experts

In one of the Asta Examples projects named as ‘House Project Example’, using task per mode method  two bars are shown as Overlapping bars in cross red and cross green colors.

How can I make/show any bar as overlapping bar in task per mode method as shown in the above example?

What are the steps for that?

Thanks

Chris
