Negative Values For Task Allocations (Cost / Income)

Hi All,

Does anyone know if it's possible to have a negative value against a income / cost?

Reason for wanting to do this, is that I have an a highway maintenance contract where the client has given us anticipated spends against a list of tasks, but the actual spend was less. Rather than go through and adjust all the anticiapted spends, I was hoping to insert a new task with a negative value against it which represented the sum of the underspend.

Kind Regards,

Chris

Using 2 calendars

Hi Guys

I am using two calendars, one with xmas & bank Holidays, and one with just xmas. The one with xmas + bank holidays is the project calendar and the other is applied to some of the activities. When I apply the second calendar to an activity, the bank holiday stops either side of the bar. Is there a way of making the main calendar go over the activities. I dont need anyone to know I am using 2 calendars its just visual.

Many thanks in advance.

Andrew

1) Activity Codes- Does they exist in asta? I have seen several references in booklets, but no guidance how to set them up If there is no activity codes, then what are their replacement? Where can I find the material on how to sort, group and organize tasks. Basically have additional classification

Change tasks in to subtasks and vice versa without retyping it

K
Karina P 👤 Member for 11 years 7 months

Hello.

Is it possible to change tasks in to subtasks without rewriting all the information. For example area in to desciline in vice versa. It is not so easy, as I understand. All subtasks become tasks and all tasks (milestones) becomes subtasks.

I appreciate your help guys.

How to show Dates when using histograme full view in printing?

Hi All,

Please can i know how to show the dates in historgrame full view when printing? When i print histograme with bar chart, i could see the dates when printing. When i move histogram to full view when print it, the dates just dissapeared

Is this something going wrong with my settings or maybe Asta doesnt has a dates view when we use histogram in full view more to print?

Thank you.

Finish start links

I am new to planning and am trying to understand link logic and am getting very confused. I have only used finish to start links or finish to finish. Can you please tell me why have a start to finish and what does it do different to a finish to start. It seems to be the same thing to me. One task ends before another can start.
