Lags and type of duration format

Hi All,

Please can you advise on the following-

My programme activities are showing incosistent time units on my lags and slope. The activities are showing a mixture of seconds, minutes, hours and days on my activities.

Is there a way i can select a consistent format for all activities to have their lags calculated in days, weeks?

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Farhad

Formula Help - Omit summary tasks from formula?

S
Sam McCrae 👤 Member for 9 years 9 months

Hello,

The below formula will give a red cross at a task which have an actual%complete less than the planned%complete, and a tick in other cases.

switch(PlannedPercentComplete(CB,na)>PercentComplete,high,PlannedPercentComplete(CB,na)<=PercentComplete,low)

Has anyone any idea what I could add to this formula to stop summary tasks from recieving this cross/tick?

Thanks.

Importing revised baseline w/ additional tasks into progress report.

S
Sam McCrae 👤 Member for 9 years 9 months

Hello,

I'm currently having an issue with Asta which I'm struggling to resolve due to the lack of many other people in my company that use this software at present.  Let me try and paint as clear a picture as possible:

I have a progress report which I am recording weekly against Baseline Rev 1 in the view named "Progress".

In my view named "Bar Chart" the progress entry/bar splitting etc is showing, so I decided not to revise up to Rev 2 here as I require my newly revised baseline to be Baseline Rev 1 + Revised Dates + a few additional tasks.

Critical path drag coming soon to Asta Powerproject

B
Ben Taunt 👤 Member for 14 years 4 months

*This post is almost entirely for Stephen Devaux's benefit*

I've just seen the draft of the release notes on our next release of Asta Powerproject (version 14.0.02, due out in October).  It includes this paragraph:

Calculate the drag of critical tasks when rescheduling

You can now calculate the drag of critical tasks when rescheduling. Critical path drag (Devaux's Removed Activity Gauge) can be thought of as:

Baseline Finish Date on Bar Chart

Hello Fellow Planners,

I created a contract baseline at the initiation of my project and i have progressed the project since then so activity bars have obviously shifted fowards and backwards. I want to display my baseline finish dates on the chart next to each activity to make it easier for my client to see where each tasks SHOULD have been finishing. But for some reason Asta is not allowing me to.

Change start time and finish time (hours and minutes)

Hi All.

My query to end this week is the most difficult to resolve. I have  figured out the issue but failed to fix it.

My program is based on weeks and days, however when viewing the time (hours and minutes) format. My project start and finish links are inconsistent with time. I realised this when my durations didn't add up.

For eg. Ideally a 3 day duration- Start Monday, finish Wed evening. However my programme, 3 day duration. starts Monday, finishes midday Thursday.

Is there a way of entering progress to a historic progress period?

Y
Yasine Ali 👤 Member for 10 years 9 months

Hi,

I am trying to enter progress for a project where I need to adjust percentages in a progress period which goes back in time.

There are more progress periods after this.

I have two columns, one is Actual % complete and the other is Planned % complete.

However when I select one of the progress periods the Planned % complete changes but the Actual % complete stays the same as the progress entered in the latest progress period.

How do I overcome this?
