- Project Planning Engineer (2009-June 2012) – working both within tendering and delivery, developing detailed site programs using P6 encompassing design, procurement, civil, M&E and close out elements. Cost loading and base lining of projects to allow a monthly update of progress on a monthly basis to aid reporting of slippages in a timely manner as well as contributing to recovery of the scheme. Also regular updates of Earned Value to report scheduled performance indicators (SPI’s). All achieves from liaising with engineers, procurement department, sub-contractors and site representatives.
- Trainee Project Planning Engineer (2008-2009) – Starting off in the tendering side of planning learning basic planning and project management skills (Primavera and APM Project management) working in the Electricity Alliance North delivering Substation projects for National Grid. I used P6 to compile tender stage programs and monitor and update these plans in order to identify slippages to the plan and help the programmes achieve Customer dictated key deliverables. This also aided in building rapports with team members and gaining an understanding of site activities including design, procurement, civil and M&E activities.
