Type 45 Planning Manager, BVT Surface Ship Solutions, Type 45

Line management responsibility for twelve staff, locations splits between Glasgow (two sites) and Bristol

Manage and maintain T45 programme suite of plans, level 0 to level 2 shipbuild, plus cost control account programming

Key MOD point of contact for all planning queries and activities

Facilitate integration of level 3 to level 2 plans

Selecting new planners to business at interview

What-if analysis and risk mitigation options of all plans level 2 and up

Redesign of WBS, PBS, OBS, and RBS to simplify and set as group standard

Build timescale risk analysis model from level 1 programme

Lead planning team in fresh direction, including changing of role profiles and staff skill set profiles

Design and implement planner route to competence at various levels, to be adopted groupwide

Lead planning function through change of commercial and planning software, including analysis of best option for business of new planning software

Support of central planning function throughout the group to drive in improvement and best practice

Full critical path analysis monthly for senior management and customer, including input to EV reporting
