Construction Testing, Commissioning, Handover & Start-up

Every wondered how to get more feedback from the project team on your schedule backend for those last 2 activities - Commissioning & Handover? You are at the very start of the project with very little commissioning and ops input so you just put those 2 activity bars from 70% construction complete to the contract handover date without any more thought.
Instead of a bar chart you could develop an ACTIVITY PHASE DIAGRAM to promote discussion within the team. It defines activities to be completed as the project passes from Construction Testing, Cold and Hot Commissioning, Contractual Handover, Plant Start-Up, Product Trials, and early Operations split between EPC Contractor, Client and 3rd Parties for the whole project. Never seen one.
Drop me an email address for a sample.

Here's the best advice I ever had regarding this topic: do not just guess but get an experienced construction guy in FROM THE BEGINNING preferably somebody who can run along in the project. I know that there are still engineering offices who (a) might not have somebody like that hanging around, and (b) don't want to invest in the time. Here's the thing: it's a small investment with two serious benefits (a) the info is more reliable than a standard 'guess', and (b) the construction (wo)man feels positive because their role in a project is aknowledged, something which is not done a lot.

Good afternoon Sir,

I'd like to have a sample.

One think I'd like to discuss is also the time to be allocated to the punch point closure
