Dear Arnold,

I corrected myself in my post no. 2. Actual start should be 29-Sep-08.

I thank you for sharing your idea. I think that is the fundamental in P6. Now I understand.

Dear Johnny,

I appreciate your sharing of ideas. Now I will use only start and finish column in P6 so that I will not be confuse since my mind is still thinking like P3.

I thank you all for helping me. More power to you all.

Many thanks,

Scarlett

in p6

ES is not like p3.

ES will be equal to activity’s remaining start or equal to DD once it already progressed.

use the START date in P6 not ES.

LF minus EF equals TF = 324

Hi Scarllet,

Early Start is the earliest possible date the remaining work for the activity can begin, once the activity has started, the Remaining Start is equal to the Data Date. Try to display the Early Dates in your column.

I am wondering your start date is 29-Sep-08 and your actual start date is 29-Sep-09, is this correct? If I understood you the baseline start date is 29-Sep-08, am I right? It means that you are 1 year behind of the target start date? Correct me if I am wrong.

Late Start is 30-Sep-08 and Early Start is 26-Jun-09, if you are going to subtract these two dates considering 7 days a week calendar, you will get 270 days float.

Can you please check again your data?

Regards,

Arnold
