in this regard, what I suggest you is to discuss with you subcontractor and they will provide the valuebale info base on their experience, bcz, these information like you said is depended on the different circumstance, location of your project, policy and etc. factors.
you can develop a form and issue to your subcontracor or others associated party which engaged in your project.
